The origins of the process for this work began when I was stressing out over a non-objective painting course in college. After college, I found the process an easy way to get back into my artwork after periods of inactivity when everyday life interferred with producing art. Initially, the work focused on patterns, color combinations, and expressive palette knife work -- all, very non-objective. Over time, I found the work to be more inclined towards landscape, and eventually, directly influenced by landscapes. I chose RivesBFK 100% cotton rag paper for its longetivity, smooth surface, and ability to handle the flexible film of acrylic over time.
